Over 10 years in Lagos and Ogun State classrooms, teaching the subjects that most students fear: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science. I've seen what works, what doesn't, and where the real gaps are.
Transitioning from a decade of teaching into applied data science — not because I left education, but because I found that data science gives me more tools to serve it. I build ML models, write clean notebooks, and document every step publicly.
I started HMG Academy in 2015 because I believed students in Nigerian secondary schools deserved more than rote learning and exam pressure. Ten years on, that belief is the same — but the tools have changed dramatically.
The path into data science wasn't glamorous. There was imposter syndrome — still is, honestly. There were nights learning Pandas after full teaching days. There was building CBT Pro on a tablet because that's what I had. But every project, every model, every notebook I shipped publicly was both proof of work and a lesson in itself.
I approach data science the same way I approach maths teaching: from first principles, step by step, with no shortcuts. If a student can't follow it, the explanation isn't good enough yet. That philosophy shapes every notebook I write and every tool I build.

HMG Concepts — His Marvellous Grace Educational Consult — was founded in 2015 and is the parent company of HMG Academy. Beyond teaching, HMG Concepts handles exam registration (WAEC, NECO, JAMB), organises social edutainment events, and serves as the commercial and administrative backbone of everything under the HMG brand.
